Wendy often works with Over the Rainbow Family Based Pediatric Services in Edmonton, Alberta, as a RDI service provider and also provides private RDI services to families living in various regions of British Columbia, Alberta, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Wendy has extensive experience working with young children and families. Before making the decision to focus her attention and talents solely in the field of autism, Wendy held positions in the field of education as a teacher, an elementary school counselor and most recently as a case manager for students with special educational and behavioural needs.

Wendy’s interest in autism intervention was sparked in 2006. During this time Wendy attended a workshop on Relationship Development Intervention led by Dr. Steven Gutstein. Wendy was so impressed with Dr. Gutstein’s developmentally based, parent guiding program that she immediately took the steps needed to obtain certification as an RDI Certified Consultant.

Wendy continues to be an ardent supporter of RDI theory and practice, and she is passionate about educating parents about RDI and its benefits. Wendy is currently part of the Dynamic Intelligence Workgroup and works closely with Dr. Gutstein, founder of RDI.

Wendy invites any parent who wants to learn more about the new research that is being done in the field of Autism, and gain knowledge that will enable them to support the development of crucial mental skills in their child diagnosed with Autism, to explore RDI – a highly effective and research based intervention.
